As a kid, life doesn’t usually hold too much responsibility. Your parents make your lunch, you have to go to school and maybe you get to play sport or hang out with friends on the weekend.

But what happens if life has asked a lot of a young person? Maybe they have to make some tough choices about family, friends, or school. Maybe they have extra responsibility in their family for some reason.

Counselling for your child is conducted in a way they can express themselves – through play. There are a variety of modalities children can participate in that will display their feelings about past, present or future events. From this, the expression of play and creativity can begin to offer your child new methods to express their feelings as well as giving them tools to work through challenges.

Counselling can help your child:

  • Work through challenging emotions such as grief, anger, or fear.
  • Achieve more consistent behaviour at home and at school.
